Faster on part throttle than full throttle?

Why is this? When flooring it as the revs build to about 5k if i lift off to about 60% the thing feels like its got another 30bhp!

Not complaining of course, but i'm used to full throttle being full power!!

Had same problem with my 1.8T sport, it was maf.

Try driving the car with the MAF disconnected or get it scanned with VAGCOM(VCDS) to see if any fault codes flag up?

It could be a small boost leak

As you apply more throttle, your requesting more boost and as the pipe expands it could be opening up a little more and letting out a little bit of boosts.

Have a look over the boost pipes before you get a new maf and do what jojo suggested.

I don't think it is a boost leak as the power is pretty good throughout it just seems to happen high in the revs. Previous mapped turbo cars i've had always seemed better on part throttle than full.

How much are MAFs?

i got mine from euro car parts £59 exchange bosh reconditioned ...amazing difference on mine
just thinking, you dont mean when the turbo spikes and then settles? or as it run out of puff? redline?

Could also be the TIP collapsing (if it's still te stock one).
