quick power steering question

i think i need to top up my pas fluid,

is it the yellow topped resevoir underneath the strut brace to the left hand side of the engine bay?

how much do i fill it? 1 inch below top?

Its towards the front on the left hand side of the engine bay as you look at it. The one with the yellow top is the brake fluid.

The PAS has a small green screw cap on it...with a pic of a steering wheel on it. Its in front of the header tank for the cooling system.

When you remove that cap there is a stub piece about maybe 3 inches on the underside of it. I can;t remember 100% but there is two lines on it iirc that are your level marks. if not, it is roun with a smaller diameter bit on the end, the top of the smaller diameter is the max mark.

Make sure you get the genuine stuff from Audi, only cost about £7 for a bottle and its recommended, so for that much money you might as well get that one and ensure its the right one....thats if you aint already got it
