ok eirlyer i claimed 197 gs of maf reading. I was wrong!!! i opened measuring blocks (single reading) and selected block 3 or 4. (forgot already) this show`ed 197. watching this time, as i drive i noticed it went backwards.(the missis didnt tell me this last time so i assumed it was 197gs) realising i was in the intirly wrong area i have just done it again using M block 002!! this gave me a reading of 160 gs in 3rd gear taking it up to red line. on the a20.... i mean a private road.

How do i log this stuff into a graph so i can show you guys?

Sorry for the confusion before, i have never really played with all that stuff.....

hangs head in shame and walks into the naughty corner. :respekt:

Thats near enough what we got today on a mapped ko3s, about 200 bhp

Did you know your mapped

i dunno what to say.... how do i get graphs up?

Edit: how can i see if im mapped? will this cause me problems getting a R-tech? would explaine 15 psi tho.

you need to do it on excelm highlight the data you want making into a graph... then click the graph wizzard and have a play. That or just post the results, I think most of us can read them

dunno if this is me mate exagerating last time coz i cant see it any higher than 134.57 just got the logs to work without it crashing. (before i was just driving and he was shouting out the readings)

ok i cant get it off so ill have to type it...

best line is as follows

hahaha, comical thread for sure, I love it :p

160 g/s is around 200bhp, I find these figures are a fraction optimistic though, as they rely on ideal situations, which rarely occur....

Still, 160g/s from a mapped AGU is VERY good flow.

134g/s as said above indicates about 167bhp, pretty low for a mapped car.

when you say it's running 15psi, is that through an MBC? or does it run 15 psi all by itself with no fiddling from you? If so, it's definately mapped. standard boost an AGU is 6-7psi max

167...lol... dont do it to yourself just drive it :icon_thumright:

LOL *GOES RED* My vag com laptop crashed every time i ran logs or vag scope!! lol i had no choice but to get some one to keep an eye on it!! :( :(

i fixed it now and i also got it online too! heres the log thingy..

is this good then?

no fiddling other than a forge 007. it spikes at 15 psi then sits at 10 to 12. not every time i floor it i must add but i do see it quite often.

Personally i would say the car is not mapped, but i did get a little xcited earlyer!! lol this is a funny thread... its like live learning/feck ups on ASN!! glad to be of service! :icon_thumright:

EDIT: i mirror polished, and de-lipped the inside of the TB when i had the inlet mani off. thats the only tinkering i have done other than the induction and the 007. Dunno if that would add anything to the cars flo of go go ness?

Righty....

What gear did you use and did you do it foot to the floor from 2000 rpm to as close to redline as legally/safely possible? Third gear should be good enough to get e decent log...

As for getting it up, best way is open the CSV file in excel, click on the first row of the actual log data to select it (not the row that says 'Marker' etc..) and freeze the panes so you can scroll the data leaving the column headings fixed at the top... then, scroll down to the first row where you started the run and screen shot excel (open it to full screen)... save as a jpg using your favourite pic editing software, upload somewhere and post... :)

What you can also do is start the logging before setting off in the car as this is safer. Have the laptop sat on the passenger seat but you don't have to be watching it while you drive... as long as VAGCOM is the active window you can use the marker system to help you find your logging runs... you can either place the mouse over the marker button before setting off so all you need to do is click a button to set a marker or use the right cursor arrow key... whatever is easier and safer...

Make sure the engine temp is at 90 degrees before logging :)

I tend to do my logging on the way to work in the mornings!

Nice cold air at 06:30, and few cars on the road, makes for perfect data logging conditions :)

Pull over in a layby, choose what blocks I want to log, then blast to the next. Only ever do 3rd gear logs though, 4th gear on a 5 speed takes tou to almost 130 at the redline!
