...under the drivers seat for the airbag, any tips on how to get it out so i can clean it?

have tried on several occassions now and space is extremely limted and even im struggling with my little girly hands to get in there!!

First of all, disconnect the battery before you even touch it, just incase. If I remember correctly, the yellow connector is clipped into something, you need to unclip it from the plastic bracket and it drops down a little for you to disconnect it. Don't remember 100%, as it's been a few years since I had to do mine, and it's been fine since I treated it to some WD40.

the yellow plug has purprle bits on it.

it comes apart REALLY easily, surprisingly so, but only if you press the right purprle bit!

If it doesn't slide apart real easy, leave it well alone.

It's also on a white plastic clip next to it, which is there to stop the cables being pulled tight for any reason
 
cant say i noticed the purple bits, can i use something like a thin bladed screwdriver to press 'the purple' bits or will i damage the connector?
