Hi,I have a 98 1.8t and its started to cut out when the temp guage reads just over 90oc.It makes no difference if i drive it or let it t get up to temp stationary.Ive replaced the 4pin temp sender but still does the same.:sadlike:

Will it start again once let cool down? I had a similar problem on an AGU and I thought it was heat related - turned out to be the Crank Speed Sensor.

But you wouldn't know without a VAG COM scan.

Cheers guys, had replaced water temp sensors previous as it stalled around 90oc and wouldt start till cooled down. I replaced crank sensor and its running sweet now.Thank god for the internet and forums,Thanks again
