DASTEK

Has anyone used Dastek in Dalgety Bay Fife or have any info on the Uni chip that they supply. I am considering getting one done but do not know who locally is best to use, The choice so far is Falkland Performance (superchip), Star Performance or Dastek.
Hope you can answer the questions for me.

I had a Dastek Uni Chip fitted by Power Station to my Subaru STi

Really good piggy back chip that can be re programmed after more mods are added

Not heard of any Audi owners using them though as AmD, Revo etc seemed to be their preferred route

The Unichip for the S3 will not be ready until early in the new year problem being the complexity of the VAG ecu they were having to use two chips which was not cost effective

Beware of Star Performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They carried out an mot repair for me - took the car for its retest only for it to fail on the same thing.
When I spoke to Star about it - basically they wanted nothing to do with it!
Rip off bankers.

Out of the 3 you mentioned... it has to be Star Performace they are a VAG specialist with the owner driving an S3 himself.

Glen (Ess_Three) gets all his work done on his S3 and Mk3 Golf done there.

Have to say the DASTEK idea is excellent but unfortunately not available for the S3 yet due to the S3's fly by wire throttle control. They say they will have something out next year but.

I have had my car at Star aswell and have to say, they know there stuff and seem to be reasonably priced too.
