Drivers seat won't go as low as passenger seat

Hi all, first post on here just recently bought a 2001 S3 very happy with my car. Today i was sat in the passenger seat and noticed that i could make it go lower than my drivers seat. Is this normal? The driver seat goes up and down fine but seems to stop a bit high. I searched on here and it seems a lot of people have trouble with the motors stopping completely but haven't found anything about them stopping short.

I would be interested to know this as I do feel quite high in my drivers seat!

They both seem the same to me, I doubt the seats are different in any way other than where the airbag is fitted.

Probably one of the limit switches is broken, if you do a search there was a thread somewhere that detailed how to strip the seats to access the switches.
