    ABS cutting in too early

Wonder if someone on here can help.

The ABS on my 2001 S3 is cutting in way too early (ie bringing the car to a stop in normal conditions prompts the ABS)

I'm reckoning its a wheel sensor. Question is, which one? Is there any way to tell without VAG.com?

Is it likely to be one of the fronts? Not the most expensive thing in the world but don't really want to replace all four.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers, Dave

There is a way to do a live VCDS scan and see which sensor is not providing a valid result. This video does a good job of showing you how to do it: http://www.ilexa.co.uk/vagmovies/abs_demo.htm

Try this post for local members with this tool if you do not have it already: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthr...S-Users-Map***

    Thanks for the input guys.

I'll try cleaning each one in turn and see how we get on.

    Cheers, Dave
