    Decent air filter?

Hi guys im going to AMD next week to get a full system fitted, i also want to get a heat shielded cone filter and have seen they supply a POWERTEC SL1000 INDUCTION KIT.
Has anyone got one of these and do they work well on the s3 engine?

Do a search, stick to green panel filter and smoothing your OEM airbox.

    Unless you like heat soak?

im making the same thing, tho using a different filter. for half that price.

infact... i put money on mine reflecting more heat!

Large thing to say i know, but unless im realllly wrong.... it should work! the maths look right anyway!

time will tell.... lets get vag com plugged in!

Get some before and after VAG logs to see the gains. I managed 2bhp and 7lbft torque from smoothing the OEM airbox and i'm sure someone else managed 3bhp and 10lbft!!!

tbh i wouldnt even bother with a "performance" filter, they dont filter as well as standard anyway

    L:364mm;W:185mm;H:50mm (673cm^) (S3 filter dimensions)

    L:254mm;W:213mm;H:58mm (541cm^) (RS4 filter dimensions)

the standard s3 paperfilter is actually larger than the standard paper filter fitted to the 2.7 audi rs4 and that made 380bhp, and well beyond

...... youll be ok with a standard paper filter (wink smiley, because i cant find the smiley i want out of all these stupid smilies)
