G'day guys!

Well im looking at getting a GT2871 and it would be recommended that i get forged rods (but if im doing that might as well get a GT30.. but thats another story!)

anyhow i was wondering where is the cheapest place to get them?

i have found these
http://cgi.ebay.de/H-shaft-Pleuel-A...temQQptZAutoteile_Zubehör?hash=item5d24d142fe

But they look like there from china..

Is it worth changing the rods over?

cheers!

Depending on if you have a 19mm or 20mm gudgeon pin... whats your engine code?

...and yes, it is worth changing the rods if you are planning on a GT28/30 :)

LOL... the engine code is the three letter code stamped on a tab on the head... cam belt cover side at the front...

When you find that then look at the 1.8t info sheet in the stickies to see what size pins you have. Fairly sure you will have an APY like Welly's and I think they are 20mm pins

lol my bad i thought it was that.. but couldn't be bothered confirming, so then thought could of used the model number to confirm

yeah its an AOY
