Loose Mirror!

Hi chaps,

My passenger side mirror is very wobbly, I don't think it will fall off but is this just a case of tightening something up?

They are the alloy mirrors by the way.

do you mean the miiror glass is wobbly or the mirror housing is wobbly?

The mirror glass just clips in, try pushing it in

I changed my mirror housing from red to chrome ages ago, but cant remember if its screwed on or just clips on. Maybe one of the screw holes inside the housing has broken (if you hit something).

The whole mirror housing is wobbling.

Is there a guide anywhere showing how you change the mirrors?

not sure, i did the mirror housing without a guide, its pretty easy.

Take the mirror galss out
Remove the screws from the black plastic base plate under the mirror housing and then unclip it
And then you can unclip the mirror housing from the frame (as i said, cant remember if there are screws holding this bit on)

There are two bolts that hold the whole mirror on the frame. Put you window down, unclip the black plastic interior trim, this will reveal the two bolts
