high-level light bulbs

Anyone know the type of bulb that I need to replace a couple that have blown on my high-level brake light?

I'm not 100% sure but i think i read somewhere that its one complete unit.

They are individual bulbs, I took mine apart, the red outer casing clips off. Be careful when doing this and you should reveal a row of bulbs.

Sorry I can't tell you what size they are but a local car spares shop should have them in stock.

they are 286 (t5 push) size, you are looking at about 1.99 each from halfords, dont get LED bulbs, they dont give anywhere near as much light as a regular bulb gives out

Thanks everyone for the replies! Got sick of the rear looking like it's teeth got knocked out, so will be ordering some shortly.

Any tips on removing the tailgate trim? Those audi clips can be a real ball-ache :-|

2 philips screws on the handle part of the inner boot trim then just pull. the trim around the window has 2 (1 each side) circle clips which you have to push the centres out to release then again its just pull off.
