Hi, jumped in my car this morning and the clutch pedal is stuck halfway down I was unable to engage gear whilst engine was running. Pumped pedal a few times still halfway down. Turned off selected second turned back on and drove. Can select gear fine now but pedal still halfway. Fluid level seems fine, any ideas? Please help

Right my car has been at at work since 6 this morning. I went out about 7.30 and took the cap off the reservoir and fluid level is fine. I've just been out now and pedal is back to normal. Any ideas?

Mine does the same bud, put your foot behind the pedal and lift it towards you then press it, do the a few times it'll come back up. Slave cylinder

Yep. Might just be the Master cylinder, but TBH, sounds more like the slave cylinder, which is an engine/gearbox split job I'm afraid, so 6-8 hour job. Best to change the clutch and master cylinder at the same time. Get it to a specialist for a proper diganosis. Mine went last September, and cost me all £800 all in from APS Brackley, including the alignment afterwards.

Cheers,

Clutch pedal has been fine since. Hope it was just a one off

Mine was doing the same thing. It got so bad that I was unable to select gears early in the morning. New master cylinder and all is well.
