    Brakes need changing...

My current brakes are pretty shot so im in the market for some new ones.
I currently have the 312mm front discs etc on my A3 and the standard rears.
What would people suggest to replace with? I have seen that ds2500 pads seem to be very good so i will probably go with them for the pads but am not sure on the discs.
And for the rear, should i just stay standard? or can i upgrade the size at all from an s3 or similar?
Also want to fit braided lines and change the fluid? any recommendations?
    Any help would be great
    Liam

are your discs shot as well mate? They shouldn't be really, they've done **** all mileage!
The best setup for the A3 with 312's I'd say is black diamond discs with ds2500 pads, you've got the BD discs on there already (which really shouldn't be worn yet) so just upgrade to ds2500 pads and be happy!

Frenchie stuck Mintex Extremes on it when he did them as he couldn't afford ds2500's, but the discs are BD combis, and can't be more than 20k old. For reference my BD discs and ds2500 pads have been on for over 50k now and are still fine

For the rears, if you want to upgrade the option is 256 vented discs using either 4wd calipers with a spacer, or 2wd high powered car (LCR, leon cupra, Octavia VRS, golf anni) rear calipers which go straight on.

I've just taken delivery of 3x...

And have DS2500s arriving tomorrow. Looking forward to being able to stop properly!

Also, i've heard good things about the eliptically grooved discs from Badger5...

    Cheers for that info Nick.
The reason i say about replacing the discs is that under hard-ish breaking i get a rather bad judder through the steering wheel which suggests to me that the discs are warped.
What 4wd cars will have the bigger rears? would just a normal quattro a3 have the bigger rears?

could something else be causing the juddering? a worn suspension/steering component?

Be careful when putting new fluid in your brakes, i wasted 50 lol i done it myself and had no change whatsoever, so i must of messed up somewhere! I used that motul rbf600. If your doing yourself though and havnt got a pressure bleeder you can have mine if ya want, as im never going to be using it again.

is your pressure bleeder one of those ones that you connect up to a inflated tyre which in turn pressurises the system? is so then yes i will happily take it off of your hands if you dont want it :D

did anybody know if the s3 rear calipers would fit my a3 using a 6mm spacer? if so, anymore info on this?
