Clutch switch and cruise control

I've found a switch dangling about under the steering wheel last night...

I've seen pop up on VAG COM scans in the past that the clutch switch was FUBAR, however, I think it may be OK - just out of it's holder.

Anyway, could this be the reason my cruise control won't work?

I was hoping someone would say that.

I thought that would probably be it, but wanted to check before stripping naked and running around the room doing a glory dance.

Ha ha, after reading up a bit also - i have found this sis the likely cause for the revs hanging a little when changing gear!

I thought the TB needed realigning, but this seems more likely.
