Done a service yesterday. Had a nightmare getting the oil filter off. Due to the way it is postioned at a 45degree angle. Ended up using a ratchet strap that my dad uses to secure scaffolding together.

Gotta be an easier way to get it off

What do you lot use????

Filter wrench, they cost less than a tenner and are worth every penny!.

However before I got that I'd just bodge a long screwdriver through it and undo it with that......:lmfao:

yer i had a mission getting it off too, ended up ramming a screw driver through it lol

never could get on with those oil filter wrench jobbers, must of had four over the years and they all ended up in the bin!!

after i removed my sai i now have plenty of access to the oil filter so next time should (fingers crossed) be easy squeez!! unsure about bam and amk engines as they dont have sai, whether they just have a gap or something else fills it?
