Please help! Garage stuck retrofitting my cruise control

Hi guys

Im new to this forum but have been watching it avidly since i got my s3. I got a cruise control kit off ebay for my 2001 S3 and booked in into my local independant audi specialist today. He just called me up and said he is stuck as the instructions dont say where on the ECU to connect the new loom for my engine code (APY)

Does anyone here know? These are the instructions i have;

My s3 is currently stranded at the garage until i can find out where he needs to connect it to!

As its a VW install manual it won't have the APY listed... Fairly sure it will be the same as the AUM listing... I had the same issue with my AMK S3... I found a listing of VAG engine codes and the year they were used and just used the closest VW Golf GTI engine code as the basis...

Pretty sure you will need to use the 121 pole....

Thanks a lot for your help guys. Ive told him to follow the instructions for the AUM engine code and Im keeping my fingers crossed!

I have an APY as well, when I retrofitted mine I ended up just counting out all the pins on the ecu for each of the options in the cruise manual. There was only one of the options in the manual where all the pins in the ecu were free on the car so went with that and it worked fine. sorry, but can't remember which it was.

Right the garage have just called to say he followed all the instructions, enabled it on vag-com and its just not working. Im so annoyed they are supposed to be the mechanics how am i supposed to know whats up with it!!!
