Replacement rear axle

Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm if the rear axle, with diff etc from an Audi a3 1.8t quattro will be compatible with my S3? I'm pretty sure that all the 8L Audi's and the MK4 R32 share the same axle but not 100%.

I'm 100% about the a3 quattro is the same but i wouldnt know why theyd use something different, I do know that the mk4 r32 is the same as I done it over the weekend on my s3.
