where is the best place to connect a boost gauge on my s3 to get the most accurate reading?

The best place is probably off of the FRP Fuel Regulator Pipe which runs off the underneath of the manifold.

Only if you have done an N249 delete.... FPR pipe is untouched by the ECU and VAG paraphernalia

mine is plumbed into the fuel regulator pipe, can run the hose for gauage along top of fuel rail, keeps is nice and tidy

Mine's also t-pieced into my fuel regulator then run down through a gromet in the bulkhead on the passenger side.
