hi guys

i recently changed my dipstick and ive been reading that when inserting the pipe im meant to listen for a click noise - is this true as i didnt hear a click noise i saw the pipe push all the way down and looks secure...is right and is there anything to worry about?

Give it a pull, does it come off? If not, I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. Keep your eye on it over a few days if unhappy.

I plugged mine with a whittled down wine bottle cork whilst mine was being ordered. Ended up driving it like it for a week.... lol :)

when u remove the plate that is holding down the pipe i can then remove the pipe by a tug....can someone help if they have experienced the same with a audi s3

Yes, thats why I'm helping you.

You need to take the tube off, check the inside of the stub for debris first, make sure nothing is stopping it going in. Then push back in, and don't be to gentle with it. Give it a good whacking. As long as it doesn't FALL out, you will be ok mate.
