Im looking to buy some H&R coilovers but im not sure what model to buy? Is my anti-roll bar on the strut or crossmember? I have an 2001 8L S3.

This is an extract from the H&R website.

Hmmm, I don't know but I just found this while looking at H&R coilovers on eBay...

This listing is for a complete coil over suspension kit for the following car -
AUDI A3 Quattro/ S3 1999 onwards, Type 8L,4WD Comfort Version,stabilizer holder at the suspension-arm,
Lowers Front -30mm to -70mm
Lowers Rear -30mm to -60mm
Part Number 29434-2

AUDI A3 Quattro /S3 .type 8L,4WD Sport version.1999onwards. stabilizer-holder at the shock absorber,
Lowers Front -30mm to -70mm
Lowers Rear -30mm to -60mm
Part Number 29431-1

Might help someone answer your question.
'Sport' seem to be £300 more than 'Comfort' ?????!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

I think all S3's have the ARB droplink attached to the strut and its some of the A3's that have the link going to the wishbone. Its easy enough to see mate if you turn the wheel to full lock in either direction you should be able to see the ARB droplink and where it attaches. Here's a link to the page on VAGCAT showing the ARB setup, you will have to register to see the pick though mate. http://www.vagcat.com/epc/cat/au/A3/2002/209/52/2570935/
