Got a few pennies to spend on an exhaust.

The question i have is.

Cat back or 3"down pipe and cat?

I cant afford the both at the moment.

Will the 3" down pipe and cat make any noise difference?

Downpipe and CAT are more restrictive than the exhaust system on a std/mapped K04 S3.... I would go for the DP/CAT first then sort out an exhaust later... I ran my std exhaust for a while when I fitted my 3" DP, faster spool and a slightly deeper exhaust note.
