I am toying with the idear of removing the secondary air injection system on my s3. As it is coming up with a fault code saying its not working. What are the pros and cons of doing this?

I will be removing mine once ive had a look at the plate i need to knock up to replace the valve then get it coded out. the only con is that the cat will not get up to temp as quick but for mot the vehicle has to be warm anyways.

forge motorsport make the plate up and its cheap. Do you have to get it coded out?

If its no longer plugged in then it will log a fault, if its coded out then the ecu wont know what its missing.

.my has the fault that it aint working, so i might aswell just remove it

Yeah, bin it! Not needed anyway, it was a daft idea in the first place. Audi even know that and the BAM and AMK not having it is a testament to that.

Thanks for pointing out the forge blanking plate, think i will be kissing my secondary air system goodbye at the end of the month.
