    Boost pressure

    i was just messing with vag com and was wondering if 30psi is about right for a remapped s3 thanks mike

    yes just apr remap and a filter

    Then no... it isn't... too high... but... I suspect you have taken the reading direct from VAGCOM in mbar, need to subtract ambient pressure (typically around 1bar or 1000mbar) from that reading....

    30psi is round about 2bar 2000 mbar so in actual fact you are running about 1bar or 15psi of boost... in which case thats a little low for a stage 1 map...

    Can you post a screen shot of the logging?

    30psi is about 2.1 bar. A remapped s3 will not get anywhere near that.

    Should be boosting about 20 psi i think for a stage one.

    ok so that explains it then, i took it from vag com and i was thinking it doesnt feel like 30psi. so do you think i have a boost leak some where im fairly new to vag com and i just read it off the screen as it came so dont know how to post a log. thanks
