Looking to buy S3

hi guys,im new to the forum please be gentle,:icon_thumright:
just a quick rundown,
ive owned many performance cars over the last 20 years,
from a 5 gt turbo when i was 19,
a few rs turbo customs,
sapphire casworth,
escort cosworth,
skyline gtr,
and my last performane car was a pulsar gtir,
witch i plowed thousands into, to get over the 400 bhp mark,0/60 i achieved 3.9secs @1.8bar boost on a 3071 norris turbo,
thing is ive never owned an audi but have always loved them,
now im 39 im kind of wanting an s3 as to me its the classiest hot hatch there is.
i have a budget of about 6k,
just some advice about them, of lads thats owned them, and experienced them,
the good points and the bad points?

reason i bought an s3 is because i wanted a car that had some poke, but not a car that came with the badboy racer image.
the s3 imo does everything well. i do mostly motorway miles and can get really good mpg or really poor depending on what my right foot feels like. handling wise i must admit isnt as good as i thought it would be. the poke from the REVO remap still puts a nice smile on my face even after 2 years. i've had plenty people in the car that swear it must be more than just a remap.
finally i agree i think the s3 is sooo classy. loooks in the eye and all that but i still find myself having a glimpse every chance i get especially aftger a good wash and detail.
bad points imo....handling not all that as i expected, usual faults e.g coilpacks. other than that i still love my s3.
ps remember as im sure you will there will always be something faster then you but not always as comfortable!
