wierd wine noise from under the bonnet

This morning i found a wierd wining noise coming from under the bonnet which got worse when i steered. I thought it must be the power steering or something but then steam started coming from the front drivers wheel arch.

Anyone know what the problem could be as the coolent levels were fine???

Ok whats the serpentine belt? will it cure when its dried off?

Both my cars are now in the garage /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Everyone at work thought it was hilarious till i turned up this morning in my dads 360 modena - that wiped the smiles /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Audi didnt have a C Car so i got dropped at my dads.

When mine went it made a really annoying rubbing sort of noise?

Power steering pump, another one of those things that i've had replaced under w'tee.

Agree with steering pump answer , having mine replaced on Tuesday under warranty , has been leaking fluid and started making the same sort of noise you describe.

Then write my letter to Audi UK asking for an extension on my warranty due the things wrong with my Approved Audi which I dont think had a 20 point check let alone a 100+ point check !
