Had 2 new tyres on the front yesterday, set of P Zero Rosso. Anyway went to the local tyre center, was with the lad when he took the old set of and they were badly worn down like slicks on the inside edges so thought id best get it tracked whilst i was there. Any way drove it home and all was ok, get in it to go 2 work this morning and im finding between only 72-79 the steering wheel is slightly shaking then 80 or below 71 it all ok?

Bit confused... Any ideas

well if it didn't do it before ,,,, either your new tyres havn't been balanced properly or more worryingly maybe your wheels were not bolted back on properly

If it goes away either side of the wobbly speed then it's definately the balancing at fault, take it back and get them to do it properly. Also check there in't an excessive amount of weight on one of the wheels. Sometimes the tyre needs to be rotated slightly to avoid needing a lot of weight to balance out the weld seam inside it.

Balance for sure.

Do the tyres have a coloured dot painted on the sidewall?, if so the tyre should be mounted so its opposite the valve. Get them to rebalance them and it'll sort it out.

No worries, every days a school day!.

Its not vital that its mounted with the coloured dot opposite but it just means you need to use less weight to balance the tyre which is always good.
