Will this fit and work ok?

I am after a std air box for my s3, When i bought the car it has a cone filter fitted. I have been offered one off a a3. It has the 1.8 20v turbo engine. Are the air boxes the same.

I think they are, depending on the year, something about the cold air feed may vary.
