Dash LCD display has shifted across

Hi, have just been to fill my car up at the petrol station, got back in the car to drive off and noticed that my lcd display in the center of the dash display has shifted all of the writing across. e.g. the "OK" you get when you first start the car, at the top of the screen, starts in the middle of the display and finishes on the left hand side.
hope that makes sense

anyone know a cure or experienced this?

odd one mate.....

my stereo does this and shifts everything across one digit left very rarely in the winter, so I get ADIO 1 and EART and such things.....

it usually sorts itself out an hour or so later after a restart

got back in the car about an hour and half later and its fine!!
must just be one of those strange things!
