Well after thinking my clutch was ok it looks like its slipping just as the boost kicks in a 3000 rpm in 5th and 6th.

Whats the clutch of choise now for a remapped S3 ???

What sort of ££££ am I looking at fitted as I don`t know if I fancy rolling under the car in the cold of 5 hrs then having to get alignment done so might as well bite the bullett and have one fitted.

Any reccomendations welcome Im in West Yorkshire, nice timing for it to be going :(

Thats exactly what happened to mine. But it was abit intermittant.

It turned out to be a leaking slave cylinder (leaking onto the clutch plate). The clutch actually had some life left but i changed it anyway. Cost about £500 all in

Just replace it with std S3 clutch as they can happily take the hammer of a remap. Mine is now great. Its nice to get full torque in every gear again!

hmmm did you see the fluid level drop or was the leak very slight ???

Cars only done 58k and I don`t really abuse it, I would do it myself but looking around it looks like 2-300 quid should cover fitting and 4 wheel alignment just got to see which clutch to fit as I indend on keeping the car for a while.
