ABS and traction control light

Hi all got an audi s3 (2001) and when driving now and then the abs and traction control lights comes on and stays on. I know it could be a few things but when driving under mediam breaking abs kicks in for no reason at all and takes longer than usual to start breaking again quite scarry when coming upto stoped traffic. Any help would be greatful

You need to get the car scanned to determine the exact fault but if your abs is kicking in I would think you have a dodgy wheel speed sensor. It could be 1 of 4 wheel sensors so you need to find out which one is at fault.

Yea the same happend to mine. It was one of the ABS sensors, I just bit the bullet and bought all 4 and wired them up properly....The way the looms done from factory is rather dumb. You can damage them rather easily.
