Im goint to book my 1.8T in for a full service and have a few questions in what to expect.

Firstly who do I go to, Local trusted garage or VAG specialist or performance/turbo specialist?

Secondly when changing the oil will they flush it through or just drain and replace? And will the "average garage" make sure its the correct oil or just fill up with magnatec?

Is it worth getting all the sparks and other items included in a full service or should I just go for a standard service?

Sorry for being anal but this is the first sevice since ive had the car :)

I have been going to a specialist & getting my trusted local to do any additional work required (minors things). Main dealers are a waste of time they just look at the numbers.

Generally it is expected to have the engine flushed mine was through a specialist.

Ok,

does anyone know the nearest place in Suffolk to be specific Ipswich that is a specialist?

i took mine to polar ford as me m8 works there also the zetecs use the same oil so that was free.

my service included.

Haldex oil/filter change
gearbox oil change
engine oil and filter change
pollen filter change
spark plugs change
full diagnostics on car
fuel filter change
fluids checked
tyre presures checked
and full engine check over

most garages will do a good service i did get a price with awesome gti who are vag specialist they were £100 more expensive than getting it done through ford, got a price of few local garages that were between 90-40 pound cheaper than awesome gti.

awesome gti price £250
my price at ford £150
Dearest local garage £210
Cheapest local garage £160
