Black smoke

when i get to 2000 revs and the turbo kicks in on my tdi it wants to pick up but feels like its being held bk and a get a big pool of black smoke?

Dervs normally kick out crud under load.

Might be worth checking your breather pipes etc to make sure they're all in order. My mates TDI 150 Golf had the same problem,....HUUUGE plume of black smoke under load. Turns out a breather pipe had popped off causing it to run a bit funky.

serviced a year ago but only 2000 miles in this year.

ill check hoses. the fmic has a crack in it well hole would that be it

I would start with sorting that hole out yes!. It'll be sucking up air through that and running badly because of it.
