S3 BAM Filter Neck Size

Does anyone know what size neck is needed for an S3 ? (cone filter neck)

sure its not 3"/76mm? S3 MAF tubes are 3" and pretty sure the filter box end isn't that much bigger...

i was sure till you said that, i know the none S3's are 3" ...open to being proven wrong though

Fairly convinced its 3" as I may have to go 4" due to maxxing out the current one

hm, decided to order a kit instead now so hopefully it will be the right size anyway.

Probaly get slated but after reading all the info on scn, the jetex cone with some heat shield seems to be a comprimise - as basically i just want some turbo/dump noise to satisfy my inner chav. ^_^

Yeah they're 3" as a few people run an S3 MAF as a mod on a few 1.8T engines (non S3) etc.

A mate who's got a 1.8T AGU in his Mk2 Golf runs a 3" maf from an S3.

Dunno off hand but yes, A3 is smaller... S3 defo 3"... think I need an RS4 one so I am told which is 4"

From memory when I put my pony cone filter on it I used a 2.75" rubber link to get it on so about 70mm ish.
