As above.

1. Rear discs & pads - looking at mintex on ebay probably do this myself (just need to work out which ones to buy).

2.CV boot split, needs replacing does anyone know what price i should be looking at for this ? (i do have a price but would like to know what people have paid)

3. Rear anti roll bar needs replacing cracked bushes etc, am thinking of uprating, do i need to do the front as well or can this wait ? (from what i have read i can do this easily enough just bolts on)

4. Front sub frame rear bolt missing (shouldnt be to hard to fix once i find the hole)

Any advise would be nice.

my bro has a piston winding tool (handy he only just bought it) is that a standard ARB ?

That lucky as the tool is damn expensive considering I probably wont use it again lol.

Ye I got standard ARB's at the moment but hopefully upgrading to R32 ones.

i see was thinking of doing the same if not H&R's or similar cant see the point of the standard ones they are just total crap !

How hard is a CV boot to do, i ve done discs before so is it much harder ?

There is a guide for the rear brakes but cant seem to find it. It near enough the same as the fronts to change them over.

I havent done a CV boot but shouldnt be to hard.

forgot to mention my flywheel is also making more noise than usual, hardly noticeable to me. Anyway how do i know when its at its point of replacement ? what happens if i dont change it ? i also understand my clutch & slave cylinder would also need doing.

Get cv boot kit from audi they are about £28 and you get everything, bolt grease, clip boot etc but you may need the right tool to fasten the clip up tight and right.

should be getting it done this weekend the CV boot, also need to look at sourcing a R32 rear arb & a set of rear disks / pads.

Can anyone answer my questions about flywheels ?

Not sure what the failure mode on a DMF is, but it probably won't be pretty!

When you replace it, you should always fit a new clutch, and as the slave cylinder is a ~£50 part and they do fail (mine did at 72k), it makes a lot of sense to change that at the same time, otherwise if it goes at a later date, you'll have another bill for 7 hours labour AND probably a new clutch as well due to fluid leakage!!

Cheers,

yeah its a shame really my clutch isnt failing also as i could jusify spending the money on it. How do i know when its time to change the flywheel, at the moment its not really causing me any difficultly.

Paid just over £50 parts and labour to have my CV boot replaced not so long ago from an Audi specialist.

There's nothing wrong with the standard ARBS mate. My rear ARB had cracked and I just got an OEM replacement. Made the car feel brand new! You just dont realise how shagged a suspension component is till you put a new bit on!

I totally agree with what your saying, however i have an option to go down the R32 root so might just take it.
