S3 Search "Question on Colour Schemes?"

Hi, still on the search for my S3, hopefully lining up to see a couple next weekend.

Where I am getting confused is the colour schemes, for example I love audi Red, but have seen a few pics where they look orangey? Is this a different colour or simply faded over time?

Also silver, I have seen some pics which seem to be a standard silver which look ok, but then some which seem to be pearlescent? Again is this the same colour or simply photo issues?

Anyone have any advice or ideally a link to colour schemes?

Absolute Red(also known as tomato soup red) is like a pearlecent Red, it can look orangey in certain light. Misano Red is a darker shade and quite rare.
Not 100% on silver, but you have the standard mettalic Silver, and there's an Perlecent version called Avus silver, which is a bit darker in shade and has a bluey purple tint in some lighting.

That makes sense, some of the silver one's i have viewed then must of been avus as they did seem to have the typical pearlescent glow about them (beautiful colour), much prefer this to the std silver. I am put off by the absolute red now as the orangey images i have seen really don't do the car justice.

Do anyone own an avus silver S3 they could a pic for me so i can 100% sure?

Also what do you guys think of negaro blue?

There are a couple of blokes on here I know have an Avus Silver S3, hopefully will posta pic up...

Avus is the best colour IMO for the S3 but are very rare as they were an optional extra and demand a higher premium generally...

Noggy Blue S3's are a nice looking car, have grown on me since purchasing my Ming blue...

Kingfisher blue is the colour I have mine in, but unable to download my pics.
Theirs a very light blue which isnt many shades far off silver.

Tourmaline - its like a bluey green colour, there is a user on here that has one, and I have to say that is the only one I have ever seen.

There's also Mineral Grey and Hibiscus Red.

Merlin Purple was one of those special colours which cost about £1500 and added weeks on to the delivery time was it not? Didn't think it was a normal colour.
