Interior light

My interior light doesn't come on when the doors are opened any idea's ive tried the different positions on the switch but nothing. It will work permanent or not at all.

try cleaning the door catches, sounds to me that its not sensing when the door is open, maybe be a bit of grime thats not disconnecting it. does the passenger door or boot work when theyre open?

if not then it'll be a wiring problem, have to take the interior light out and it may just be a loose wire.
