Central locking pump help

ok i can't believe i've done this but i was trying to fix my central locking pump today and i've dropped the unit and cracked the circuit bord (don't laugh) i dont think it can be mended so i think i need to get a new one. do i have to get one with the exact same code or do others fit ? the code on mine is 8l0 862 257 p thanks

Drop "Olds_Kool" a private message. He sells reconditioned pumps and will be able to sell you one at a decent price and advise you about codes and pump numbers.

thanks for that he's local to me as well .but I'm new to this forum i think I've sent him one but its not showing in my sent box is this normal or have i done something wrong ???
