Damn... how the hell did it get in that state!?
One lady owner with very sharp fingernails?

I'd see about getting a new switch panel from a broken car on eBay or VAG parts specialists / breakers.

Edit: Just noticed that pic is from ebay so I guess you've already looked there for a replacement!

yeah, the pic was just to show what i was talking about!!! dealers want £500 and say you cant buy the buttons individually! RAGIN!!!!!

I managed to salvage these off my old one.

Happy to sell them on for a small fee. :eyebrows:

dont suppose anyone has an 'off' button and the headlight switch with surround???
LOL

dam i missed out on some new buttons ! anyone got a set i m in need ? my headlight unit switch is also pretty bad !

the B5 A4 unit looks very similar, how hard is it to actually remove the buttons ?

Also looking for some but its for my stereo? are there easier to come across?? any help appricated

Mine are worn too. 'Lady owners' certyainly has its disadvantages!!!

I filled in the gaps with a black marker, looks pretty good to be honest but they're nowhere near as bad as those above!

ah maz id have given you £100 for those two gems :)

oh yeah, well it just so happens they are still available as well as 7 more which I manged to lever out of the old unit.

If anyone needs them pm me with an offer.:salute:

Audi are robbing gits like that.

For example if you want a new headlight they make you buy the xenon kit in it as well.

I now know that the xenon bulb and ballast can easily be removed and sold seperately, but Audi damn sure aint getting £500 out of me for a new headlight.

Maz - bluffed called ;)

although i would be very interested in the ifrst two big buttons.... have no idea what they are worth though...easy enough to fit?

also were they off a unit fitted to a double DIN car?

You also have remember the units are not all the same colour, you can tell normaly wich colour combo your buttons have by looking at the hedlight switch part no..(rather than taking out the cc unit) It's at the end of the part no or under it... Mine is K5PR think it's called satin black, Audi did tell me a while ago- 2002/2003 S3's have a non scratch lighter grey I think

that is unless someone has put a different colour HL switch in.

No worries bud, all sold now.

They should clip into place easier than they were to remove.

Yes, they were off a DoubleDIN centre console.

boooo boooo :)

i did a good enough job of mine anyway ;)

incidently what did you get for them outta curiousity

oh forgot to mention guys i just bought some matt black touch paint off ebay & although it was hard to touch up round the - symbol i just painted straight over it & it tidyed things up a bit. Still want some undamaged replacements.

Oh and the wear is caused by pressing the buttons with your fingers nail side up hence why all the units you see only have the lower buttons damaged (its your nail that does the damage).
