Car has become a washing machine/judder

    HI,

i am a newbie with a 1.9 tdi 02 plate a3, with about 137,000 miles. The problem i have is a juddering, which no one can diagnose. I have searched this forum to see if any one else has exactly the same problem but mine seems ot be a combnation fo everything! So just wanted a pointer please

My was has been on the VAG machine no problems reported. My engine managment light is constantly on. The car judders/vibrates all the time but reduces as you go through the revs.

I have replaced the temp sensor. Heres the wierd part. The car now judders all the time, but lets say i go a few miles away and switch the engine off and i quickly eg go into the shopand get back in the car then sometimes the juddering stops and the car works smooth as a baby! This has made it a nitemare to diagnose as sods law whenever a mechanic gets in it works! I drove it to leeds and back (about an hours journey and went on motorway to test it workd fine)

I dont think its the flywheel, its almost like the car isn't 'breathing' properly. The engine is vibrating and shaking loads. I was wondering if it could be the air flow connector (the air flow thingy has new filters) if the car is revved or used for more then -10 mins or revved then the temperature jumps up to 110.... before I replaced the temp sensor it was getting upto 120.

The question is what to do next, dont want to spend loads as cars only worth a few grand and looking to replace anyways.

    any help would be appreciated!!!

Could be an injector dying.. not the easiest thing to test on these, as these internal.
Would recommend letting a diesel specialist have a play though, get them to do a leak/ flow test. As High pressure diesel's arent really something you can DIY.

by way of an update it was one of the injector parts and managed to get it fixed... didnt cost too much either as it wasnt the whole injector!

lack of fuel then, glad resolved, but if there's an engine light on then it always shows a code to signify the faulting system, which vag machine did you plug it into to read for any codes?

OEM RETROFITS - CRUISE CONTROL - SAT NAV - BLUETOOTH - AMI - HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS

PARKING SYSTEMS - DIAGNOSTICS - FAULT FINDING - BODYWORK - PAINTWORK
