    New Discs And Pads

Evening all, yesterday my pad indicator light came on so i'm getting new discs & pads. I'm quite happy going OEM as i dont normally drive uberfast (but having said that i have suffered fade on a couple of occasions) but i thought as i'm fitting new discs i may as well upgrade but with the missus out of work ATM i am on a budget of 250 ish.

I have been looking at black diamond grooved and maybe red stuff or black diamond predator. Has anyone any experience with this set up, or can anyone reccommend a better then OEM set up for this budget?

    Cheers, Dave.

Seems cheap for DS2500's. Typically around the 120 mark...

I'm glad this thread has been posted up because my brakes will need doing next year.

Wibble I'm currently running the TT discs and not sure which pads (previous owner did them) but they are shockingly poor. Dont go OEM if you can.

When I get mine done I'm thinking of the above setup of Black Diamond and DS2500's, braded lines, new fluid and if needed new master/slave cylinders! Anything else I might have missed?

correct me if I'm wrong, but the brake sensors on the front pads (OEM) are somewhere like in the middle of the pad ! So whatever mileage you've done so far on them, you probably can do at least another half (safe side) more before they really need changing.
Or is my eye sight bad ?

Just for the record... DS2500's do not come with pad wear sensors. You will need to cut off the connector from the OEM pad, short the wires together and tape them up then plug it back into the connector from the car. This will stop the pad wear light coming up on the dash board.

Ease up. On the site i got them from there 100 excluded vat. When i goes to this shop theyve got my car noted down, so if theyve giving me the wrong ones i wont be impressed. I remember paying 80, which is what the 1.6's use. what an idiot.

Yes badger, ds performance, should of asked them if they was ds2500's.. Classic case of never presume, could that explain why my brakes dont feel much improved over my standards?
