A3 water leaking into boot?

Hi All,

Picked up my A3 (1997) this week, but when I got back from delearship I noticed the bottom of the back seats seemed to damp .

After checking the boot (after some heavy rain) I have found that the water is coming in from the rear lights, collecting around the bottom of the boot, and then travelling behind the plastic to the rear seats.

I have a basic 3 months warranty with the dealer, but need to know if this is a common problem & can be fixed easily, or do I need to brace myself for some bad news?

Never heard of that before. Take it back and make them rectify the problem, was obviously a fault before you bought it.
