    Loose handbrake surround

Well i'm rather puzzled, the plastic covering for my handbrake is just sliding up and down, i've took it off completely and there seems to be no plastic fittings snapped or anything along the lines, there also doesn't seem to of been any original fixing for this part but surely there must of been.

Its actually quite dangerous because it is getting in the way when i'm using it and changing gears etc..

    any help?
    anyone had the same problem?
had my a3 for a couple of weeks now and its been like it since day one (so its not my fault :P)

    Same situation!

No idea how to fix it though, be interested to hear if you manage it!

i'm gonna try buyinhg a leather surround for it from ebay and see if that acts as abit of a wedge to keep it in place, if not i'm gonna end up ripping the whole centre console out in frustration to find the problem ahaha, will let you know how i get on
