Cam belt + water pump

Cars going into poole audi on friday to get this done, is there anything I should look out for? anything else I should check to be done? im gonna be very poor by the end of the week! (most of the lowering fund now out the window )

No mate, just make sure the waterpump is defo done, might be worth getting the vee belt done as well.

I took mine into crawley audi to have it done. Got cam belt, water pup, vee belt, tensioners for 550quid, pretty pricey! If you are going to do all that make sure you get the breakdown! They tried to make it seem cheap by offering a cam belt pack for 329, that turned out to just be the cam belt and nothing else! And adding on water pump etc soon brings it up Lol got a nice courtesy car though, a5 cab!

God you guys know how to get ripped off big time. Had the same as you done dan along with gearbox oil and fuel filter changed for £250

Reason I went to audi was my 2 local specialists quoted me more than audi did! guess its what happens when you live in bournemouth! the one place has a labour rate of £85 an hour! audi is working out about £70 + i get a courtesy car, my car gets cleaned and most importantly keeps up the audi service history!

Eh, £80 an hour, thats perfectic. Glad i live up north

The one garage just took a look out the door saw me noggy S3 there shook there head (like they didn't want the work) then quoted me £600 + VAT (thats with full service) audi is working out about £550 (thats with break fluid change as well) Maybe I should drive up north to have it done........but knowing my luck the cam belt will prob snap on the way!
