Replacing Wing Mirror Glass A3

Hi All,

I need to replace the drivers side wing mirror glass as some idiot broke it....

Is it easy to replace? I have seen tinted glass for sale on e-bay...looks straight forward. Was wondering if someone has had the same problem with a solution.

Instructions would be helpful.....

Hi Lee

Just use something pliable, i suppose the existing mirror if it smashes while attempting to remove wont matter much as you are replacing it but i'd rather not clean up the mess afterwards.

Lever the mirror out from the outside of the mirror casing (edge furthest away from the window) gently. It will click/snap out of place. You'll need to be careful to unplug the wiring for the heated element (if it has one) so don't just rip the mirror off the housing.

Once thats done, refit the plug to the new mirror wiring and click back into place.
