Pioneer Avic Sat Nav system in their car? More specifically the X1R? I'm attempting to fit one in the S3 but i cant find a space for the control box for love nor money! Audi made a very good job of packing everything in extremely tight thats for sure..

So if anyone has fitted one, where is your control box?

How big is the control box?

There is a lovely big space behind the rear quarter panels just above the rear speakers, with easy cabling access to the HU along the sills.

The control unit needs to be relatively close to the main head unit.. It had the gps antenna fitment as well as the radio fitment then a cable going to headunit its self. I have the longest cable pioneer do for the unti and the maximum distance you will get it from the head unit as about the rear seats which i've checked under and there is no space..

I have actually ended up mounting in the void under the steering wheels, almost perfect fitment, just a bit of plastic needing dremeled out. I'm surprised nobody has put one of these in to a A/S3 before though :|
