Service date display

Hi all…
Just had my Audi serviced and when I look at the dash display for next service date I only see blank dots …. ….. (no date)
Is this right, and it will display a date near the time.. or is there something wrong?

Ive heard it can take a couple of days for the service light to go off after the service has been completed, not sure about no display though, I would have thought the next serice date was set via VAGCOM by the mechanic doing the service?

Was thinking someone will know the answer to this?
The old next service dew date has gone, but not a new service date replaced just …. Dots?
