F-ing Exhaust Manifold bolts

Its every 2-3 weeks the f-ing exhaust manifold bolt come loose
and my S3 sounds like a ****** Ford escort

also this is sooner if driven hard, this is becoming a pain in the ***
as you have to take off the charge pipe to get the Bolts.

i have tried thread lock and it just gets burn't off

anyone have any idea's

maybe a new exhaust manifold or manifold bolts

you can use 2 nuts on the bolt locked together on the bolt to allow you to do it up tight then loosen off the nuts, this allows you to tighten the stud in properly and re assenmble. If this doesnt work the stud/bolt might of become stretched under heat.

hi mate, the nuts should be a copper coated type that grip on the thread as they are slightly off round. My local motor factor sells them but an alternative is these...

Hi I'm having the same problem. One bolt in particular keeps un doing. I also only have bolts holding on the turbo should there be a stud with a nut too? Have you sorted it on your car now?
