hi my s3 sub amp went the other day its non bose just wondering if i could put a bose one instead of it with not many mods. does it have build in amp like the non bose. thanks rob

It does have a built in amp, but the wiring is completely different. More importantly the rears run off the same amp in the non Bose, whereas the Bose sub amp just powers the sub, so you will lose the rear speakers as well unless you can splice in the existing amp from the setup you have, as long as it is still functioning on the rears.
Are you running the stock HU?

Ask Andy about his replacement sub. From what people are saying, it sounds great, and if you are looking at replacing it, might be worth going that route. You will need an additional amp anyway to drive the sub and the rears but its something I will be look into after the remap and suspension upgrades.
