Did a search on here, google and VWvortex.. Google's useless and here and VWvortex have very mixed opinions and people contradicting each other.
I'd like to know how to do the N249 bypass, it seems a lot more straight forward on an Ibiza Cupra but seems to be a little more messy on my Audi A3? Does anyone have a link or can show me how to do the N249 Bypass on the Audi?
Also, which airfilter would you recommend?

As for the air filter - there's a mix of opinions on here - and an absolute ton of threads - just do a search - happy reading!! ;)

However, most seem to be united in the fact that you shouldn't use an oiled element.

If you're thinking induction kit, you'll need a shield - either a plate version wihich separates / divides the engine bay (hopefully keeping the area around the cone cooler, or a wrap-around version like the BMC, modshack versions - but both versions should be used with a cold air feed..........
